Centre for Skin Sciences, University of Bradford The Centre for Skin Sciences is a leading centre of expertise in the skin and hair sciences working closely with the health and personal care sectors.
Based at the University of Bradford, Yorkshire, UK, the Centre's internationally renowned scientists integrate basic science with applied research to gain a greater understanding of what is required for healthy skin and hair. We work with partners to help turn this understanding into exciting opportunities for new technology and products.
The CSS occupies laboratories within the School of Life Sciences at the University of Bradford, which provides state-of-the-art research facilities and equipment and where its scientists have access to the University's Analytical Centre, Bio-imaging Suite and Ethical Tissue Bank.
The CSS works in close collaboration with the Plastic Surgery and Burns Research Unitwith clinical fellows working within the Centre on various research projects related to wound healing and has well-established links with local hospitals and other research laboratories within the UK, elsewhere in Europe and overseas.
