The Institute of Diabetes Karlsburg GmbH (IDK GmbH) is a spin-off of the Research Institute for Diabetes in Karlsburg/Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

IDK GmbH is managed by Dipl.-Kfm. Anselm Puchert as Shareholder-Managing Director.

Our team is made up of medical specialists, doctors, MTLAs, BTAs, scientists and administrative staff. This extensive expertise enables us to deal with a wide range of requirements and issues.

IDK GmbH mainly conducts studies and performance evaluation tests of in vitro diagnostics. The studies are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the German Medical Devices Act (MPG) and the German Medicinal Products Act (AMG). We work according to ICH-GCP and in compliance with the applicable national, European and international regulations.

We carry out studies mainly in the field of diabetes mellitus in our institute and cooperate with external institutions. We examine and test all types of medical devices (glucose sensors, insulin pumps, blood glucose measuring devices, blood glucose test strips, lancing devices) and also new clinical studies for DiGA`s

We focus in particular on the performance evaluation of blood glucose meters in accordance with DIN EN ISO 15197:2015.
